The LifeSTAR Program
Getting Started Workshop
The LifeSTAR Getting Started Workshop is a breakthrough six-week counseling course for people struggling with their spouses and pornography addiction. The addiction workshop is not just for couples, but also for single adults and those who are married that would rather come alone. Recovery from pornography addiction and other sexually compulsive behaviors and addictions is possible. It is most likely to occur when participants gain knowledge and insight about addiction processes and practice good recovery principles.
Three Phases of Treatment
The LifeSTAR program offers three phases of treatment for addiction. Phase one, the Getting Started Workshop described above, is in large group counseling settings and is psychoeducational, as well as experiential in focus. Phase two offers small counseling groups for both those suffering from the addiction and partners. Phase three focuses on trauma work, faulty core beliefs, and other issues that have contributed to the addiction over the years. Graduates of LifeSTAR commonly speak of the peace, hope, and healing that comes from completing the addiction counseling program.
